GEORG ZEPPENFELD | © Barbara Aumu?ller
Georg Zeppenfeld, the most sought bass on today’s international circuit, makes his Valencia debut, with Salzburg and Bayreuth among his principal stages. To mention his name is immediately to think of Wagner and Strauss. His portrayals of Marke, Gurnemanz and Hans Sachs are essential points of reference. A pupil of the legendary Hans Sotin, he forged his career at Dresden Opera, where he continues to sing each season. A voice remarkable for its power, technical solidity and above all the nobility of its singing, making him equally indispensable in concert repertoire and lied. Schubert and Brahms form the core of his first appearance at Les Arts, accompanied at the piano by the German pianist Gerold Huber.
