Sustainability

The culture of sustainability at les Arts

As a cultural benchmark in the Comunidad Valenciana, we work to integrate sustainability across every facet of our operation. We believe culture should drive positive change in society; therefore, we are committed to environmental conservation, the promotion of energy efficiency, and the responsible management of resources.

Our commitment

Since its inauguration, the Palau de les Arts has integrated sustainable practices into its design, construction, and operations.

Our mission is to offer an outstanding cultural programme and to be a model of environmental responsibility, contributing to the preservation of natural resources and reducing its ecological footprint.

In addition, we have implemented a carbon-footprint reduction policy across all our areas of responsibility to ensure a sustainable future for the next generations.

Ecological and energy-efficiency initiatives

The Palau de les Arts building was designed to promote energy efficiency and harness natural light.

We use advanced climate-control systems and renewable energy to minimise resource consumption and maximise operational efficiency. We also implement sustainable practices in the use of recyclable materials, waste management, and reducing water consumption.

The surrounding green areas are designed to foster local biodiversity and reduce environmental impact.

Promoting a sustainable culture

We believe culture and sustainability are connected, so we promote activities, events, and projects that raise public awareness about caring for the environment.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our infrastructure and in the values conveyed through our artistic programming. Throughout the year, we organise initiatives to educate and raise awareness about climate change and the conservation of the planet, inspiring reflection and individual commitment towards a greener, fairer future.
