EXTRAS “DIALOGUES DES CARMÉLITES”
We need extras for the production of Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, which Palau de les Arts will prepare during December 2024 and February 2025.
Extras are meant to recreate the atmosphere or the scene to contribute to make it more real. They are not meant to speak. Even though, extras may be asked to help to create noise, to shout or mutter.
We need / Roles:
- Special Roles: 15 women, 18 to 50 years old. It is required to have a feeling for music, look smart and to have experience on stage.
- Roles: 10 men (4 of them need to be quite thin “footmen”, and 6 of them need to be muscly “rude”), 18 to 50 years old. It is required to have a feeling for music and to have experience on stage.
Candidates must fill in the form on our web page, attach the required information and attend the in person casting on 27th September 2024 (the place and date of the casting will be communicated to the preselected candidates).
Candidates must also send a zip file by WeTransfer including their CV, a portrait picture and several full body pictures.

We need people who know how to move on stage, with acting skills and a good musical ear, as there are scenes with a lot of movement. They must be disciplined, and with a good aptitude to work as part of a team.
Extra-community candidates need to have a valid work permit and residence.
Candidates need to have full availability and to be over 18 years old.
The deadline to send the application and the material is 23rd September 2024.
The list of the registered people will be published on 25th September 2024.
On 27th September 2024 the casting will take place at Palau de les Arts (the place and date of the casting will be communicated to the preselected candidates).
The rehearsal dates are: from 9- 21 December 2024 and 2-20 de January 2025 (20 days yet to be defined).
The performance dates are 23 (7:30 pm), 25 (7:00 pm), 28 (7:30 pm), 31 (7:30 pm) January and 2 (6:00 pm) February 2025.
