EXTRAS UN AVVERTIMENTO AI GELOSI
We need extras for the production of Manuel García’s Un avvertimento ai gelosi which Palau de les Arts will prepare during October, November and December 2021.
Extras are meant to recreate the atmosphere or the scene to contribute to make it more real. They are not meant to speak. Even though, extras may be asked to help to create noise, to shout or mutter.
We need extras for the following roles:
- One man between 50 and 70 years old.
A Stage Director. He was a renown director (he directed at La Scala), but after several failures he works now for very small theatres. He is unhappy with the work of his company and with his life, in general.
- One man between 18 and 28 years old.
Scene Shifter doing his internship. Recommended by the producer. More interested in the baritone than on his own job. A bit dumb.
- One woman between 25 and 35 years old. Assistant to the stage director, to the stage-manager, helps with props and with everything. Superefficient, neat, energetic and ambitious.
- One woman between 45 and 55 years old. Hairdressing. JUST hairdressing. She is very professional and wants to be respected. She makes the wigs. She is divorced and is looking for an immediate affair to get revenge on his ex.
It is required to have a feeling for music.
Candidates must fill in the form on our web page and send the CV, face and full body pictures via We Transfer (https://wetransfer.com/); also a video is required in which they say their name and age, and where the role they are opting to is described (the duration will be between one and a half minutes and three minutes).
The deadline to send the application and the material is on 3rd October 2021.
The list of the registered people will be published on 4th October 2021.
After watching the material, a preselection will be done, and the results will be published on the web on 4th October.
On 5th October, the preselected candidates will hold an interview via ZOOM with the Stage Direction. The selected candidates will be published on 6th October 2021.
The rehearsal dates are: 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 October 2021, and 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 November 2021, in Valencia. 13 and 14 December 2021, in Madrid.
The performance dates are: 12, 15, 18 and 20 November 2021, in Valencia. 28 November in Alcoy, 2 December in Castellon, 5 December in Peñíscola, 15, 17 and 18 December in Madrid.
Extra-community candidates need to have a valid work permit and residence.
Candidates need to have full availability and to be over 18 years old.
