The Venezuelan sopranist Samuel Mariño has, at the age of only 30,
aroused the enthusiasm of the greatest concert halls and opera
houses in Europe. His voice, rebellious “like my personality”, has
been constructed and consolidated under the tutelage of Barbara
Bonney. He possesses a unique, brilliant and agile instrument,
ideal for the most demanding roles in the Baroque and Classical
repertoires, as amply demonstrated by his discs dedicated to
Handel, Gluck and Mozart. A versatile artist, his wide vocal range
has allowed him to explore roles such as Oscar in Un ballo in
maschera, Romeo in I Capuleti e I Montecchi and Arsace in Aureliano
in Palmira. We will have the pleasure of hearing his unique voice
in his recital “Delirio Amoroso”, accompanied by the Concerto de’
Cavalieri ensemble, consisting of works by Handel, Scarlatti,
Vivaldi and Porpora.
