LÓVA (La Ópera como Vehículo de Aprendizaje -Opera as a Learning Tool-) is a project that consists on turning the classroom into an opera company. During the whole year, the students will create the whole process of making an opera. Organized in groups, the children will become the professionals who will materialise the project. That is: writing the libretto, designing the sets and lighting, composing the music, manufacturing the costumes and props, coordinating publicity, raising funds, etc. The aim of LÓVA matches the didactic contents of the curriculum and gets deep in them through this project.
One of the steps of the project is a visit to the nearest opera house, in order to see in the real world the tasks they are developing in the classroom. During a tour along the venues of Palau de les Arts, the students will be able to exchange information with the staff in charge of every artistic or technical space.
