Les Arts adds one of the most acclaimed and important figures of our time to its roster of guest conductors - Philippe Jordan - one of the most sought-after conductors by renowned orchestras, theatres and festivals. He is the Music Director of the Vienna State Opera and, from 2027, will take over as Director of the Orchestre National de France. He was previously Principal Conductor of the Paris Opera and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. His first concert in Spain at the helm of a Spanish orchestra such as the OCV is another milestone for Les Arts. For the occasion, the highly sought-after Swiss maestro has chosen Mozart's Symphony No. 35 and Mahler's famous Symphony No. 5, which Luchino Visconti immortalised for posterity by using the melancholic and poignant adagietto as the soundtrack for his film Death in Venice.
