In addition to Brahms' symphonies, Les Arts is offering music lovers the complete Beethoven piano concertos this season. The brilliant pianist Javier Perianes joins the list of great names, such as Daniel Barenboim and Vladimir Ashkenazy, who have conducted this cycle from the piano, in a project that premieres at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid with the OCV and then travels to Valencia and Castellón. The overwhelming sensitivity of Perianes' piano playing will illustrate the evolution from the two early concertos, still full of Mozartian reminiscences but with the energetic rhythm and dramatic feeling of the young Beethoven, to the majestic grandeur and solemnity of the Emperor from his mature period, where dramatic tension and poetic flight achieve perfect balance.
