To mark the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti, the ensemble Il Fervore is dedicating a monographic programme to the composer, tracing the musical landscape of early 18th-century Naples, where Scarlatti spent most of his life, with works representative of the main musical genres he tackled, such as opera, concerto and serenade. Basque soprano Jone Martínez performs the most outstanding arias from the opera Tiberio, imperatore d'Oriente and a selection from the serenade Clori, Dorino e Amore, conducted by violinist Jesús Martínez at the helm of this young ensemble founded in 2021, specialising in the historicist interpretation of Baroque and pre-Classical music.
