Where can I buy tickets for Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía’s performances?

Tickets can be bought at the box office of Palau de les Arts, on the telephone sales line 902 202 383 and on the internet.

When can I buy the tickets or get information about a performance?

Days with no scheduled performance:

  • Monday through Friday, from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, no service.

Days with scheduled performance*:

  • Monday through Friday, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, two hours before performance curtain time.

*please check sales and attention hours for those events not included in Palau de les Arts season programme or for events organised by other promoters.

Tickets can be bought on the internet 24 hours a day. On the same day of a performance, tickets can only be bought on the internet before the opening of the box office.

Where is Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía’s box office?

The box office is placed at the main access to the building, on Avenida del Profesor López Piñero.

Where are the events performed? What is the capacity of the venues?

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía hosts four venues. It is important to check in which hall is being performed the event you have chosen. The capacity of each venue can be seen on the corresponding seat map.

When buying your tickets on our website, you can get an idea of the actual visibility from each seat.

At the Sala Principal, depending on the staging of an opera production, during some performances several seats have partial visibility or no visibility at all. In case of doubt, do not hesitate to contact our information service before buying your tickets.

Is it possible to find different availability of tickets for the same event depending on the moment that the purchase is done?

The availability of some seats might be different depending on the moment the purchase is done, as several authorised operators are managing the sales at the same time.

Is it possible to print at home tickets purchased on the internet? Print@Home tickets.

After having purchased your tickets on our internet site, you can check your purchase at your personal area, and print the tickets directly once you’ve confirmed your user and password. You may also have access to your personal area through a link which will be sent to your e-mail as soon as the purchase is confirmed.

It is also possible to download the tickets on your mobile phone and show them at the entrance of Palau de les Arts.

If you wish to have your tickets printed at the box office, you need to show the purchase confirmation e-mail, and identify yourself as the registered user. In case  another person asks for the tickets to be printed, they must be duly authorised by the registered user.

Print@Home tickets can be used only by the registered user?

Print@Home tickets appear under the name of the registered user, as it is their responsibility that a ticket is not copied; but the use of the ticket is transferable.

How can I get the tickets purchased on the telephone sales line 961 975 900?

After confirming the purchase, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to have access to your personal area; after signing in with your user and password, you will be able to print the tickets.

It is also possible to collect the tickets at the box office, after showing your ID to the staff.

Is it possible to get a ticket reimbursement? May I change the tickets for another day or for another event?

Tickets cannot be reimbursed or changed. A change on the performance day is an advantage for Season-ticket Holders. The definitive cancellation of the performance will be the only admissible justification for the return of the value of the tickets.

Can the announced artists/programmes be changed?

The Palau de les Arts, Fundació de la Comunitat Valenciana, if performers are indisposed, due to technical reasons or force majeur, or if other circumstances require it, may suspend performances, alter the nature of the production foreseen, dates, times, programmes and performers announced in advance.

Is there a discount programme for Palau de les Arts’ performances?

Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía: A place for everyone is a promotion aimed at young people, students, persons over 65, pensioners, unemployed people, large families, single-parent families and, disabled persons.

This is also a promotional programme for groups and associations duly registered as non-profit making.

There is also a Last-minute discount on all tickets purchased on the same day of any given performance two hours before the beginning of the performance from Monday to Friday, and one hour before on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

What is a non-renewable subscription?

Non-renewable subscriptions are an option for those who will not purchase a Season-ticket but want to attend several scheduled events. It is also a way to approach Les Arts’ season programme to new audiences.

Are there seats for persons with limited mobility?

All venues at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía have wheelchair spaces that must be booked in advance at the box office or calling to 961 975 900.

Patrons with limited mobility are advised to book a service to help them to their seats. The booking has to be done a week before the performance.

I just want to see the building.

How do I get to Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía?

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía is placed at Avenida del Profesor López Piñero (Historiador de la Medicina), 1, as part of the City of Arts and Sciences complex.

Near EMT bus lines: 13, 15, 25, 35, 40, 94, 95, 99 and N9.

Underground: The nearest stop is Alameda (lines 3 and 5) and it is a 20-minute walk through the Turia gardens.

Is there a parking at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía?

The nearest parking is placed at L’Umbracle, also inside the City of Arts and Sciences.

The entrance to the parking facilities is at the beginning of Avenida del Saler, before Mont-Olivet bridge.

At what time do the performances start?

From Monday to Friday, performances start at 8:00 pm.

On Saturdays, performances start at 7:00 pm.

On Sundays and holidays, performances start at 6:00 pm.

Please, check the time before confirming your purchase, as there might be extraordinary changes.

Is there a dress code to attend a performance at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía?

There’s no specific dress code to attend a performance at Les Arts. Just dress with due etiquette for the occasion. It is not recommended to attend a performance wearing bermuda shorts or flip-flops.

Can children attend a performance?

The Palau de les Arts does not recommend that children under the age of 12 attend performances which are not expressly aimed at a young audience. In all cases, underage children must have their ticket and be accompanied by an adult. Before getting the tickets, please check the suitability of the performance for underage children.

How can I have information about the performers and the length of the event?

You can find this information on our website and on the performance programmes.

Performance programmes

The audience can get a free performance programme in Spanish and Valencian languages. The programme contains the plot synopsis, and information of the team and cast of the opera that is being performed. This information is also available in English on our website.

Is there additional information about the opera?

A few days before the premiere, there will be a conference about the opera that is going to be performed.

Also, on the same day of any given performance, 45 minutes before curtain time, students of the Universitat de València will talk about the opera that is going to be performed. The meeting is on the waiting room of Sala Principal and the access is free for those who have a ticket for the performance.

What time do I have to arrive at Palau de les Arts to attend a performance?

We recommend to arrive at Les Arts, at least 30 minutes before curtain time. Access to the venues is open 45 minutes before the beginning of the performance.

I am late. Can I enter the performance venue once the show has started?

Entry to the performance venues will not be allowed once the performance has started. Access to the performance venue will only be permitted during the intervals and at the indication of the staff in charge.

In case you are late, the performance can be followed live on a screen placed at the waiting room of Sala Principal. The capacity of this room is limited.

I need to get out of the venue, can I enter again during the performance?

Once you’ve got out of the venue, you won’t be allowed to enter until the next interval, if there’s any left.

Out of consideration for the audience and the performers, do not leave the venue during the curtain call.

Can I record or take pictures of the show?

Recording or taking pictures during the performance is strictly forbidden.

Is there a subtitling service?

In most of the performances, there’s a free subtitling service. In Sala Principal, subtitles can be followed in original language, Spanish, Valencian and English. The screens are placed on the back of the seats. In the rest of the venues, subtitles are projected above the stage and offered in one language.

Seat ticket costs will not be refunded if the service were not working properly or not at all.

 

 

Can I have dinner during the performance?

The Palau de les Arts offers a cafeteria service in all venues 45 minutes before curtain time and until the last interval. During the interval of an opera performance, you can enjoy the gastronomic area for just 12,00 €.

I can’t find my seat. What do I do?

On a performance day, the ushers help you to find your seats and provide the information you need.

Is there a Medical Service?

The Palau de les Arts has a medical care service available on performance days. Assistance can be asked directly to the ushers.

Is there a cloakroom service?

The cloakroom service is available in all the performance venues of Palau de les Arts, except in Aula Magistral. This service is free and Les Arts declines all responsibility for the objects that might be left inside the clothes.

Can I use my mobile phone?

Mobile telephones and all types of alarm and electronic equipment must be disconnected before going inside the performance venues.

Food & Drink

Eating or drinking inside the venues is not allowed. Les Arts offers a cafeteria service before the beginning of the performance and during the intervals.

Is there any advantage to become a season-ticket holder?

As a season-ticket holder, you will have several advantages, such as automatic renewal keeping the same seat, exclusive discounts, bank debit order, payment by instalment, exchange service, preferential sales period, and other benefits. Check advantages and conditions on our website.

Are there different types of season-tickets?

There are 7 season-ticket types for the season 2018-2019. Please, check our website for more information.

There are also several types of non-renewable subscriptions.

What is a non-renewable subscription?

Non-renewable subscriptions are an option for those who will not purchase a Season-ticket but want to attend several scheduled events. It is also a way to approach Les Arts’ season programme to new audiences.

When can I purchase a Season-ticket?

From June to September, by filling the form on our website.

When can I get a non-renewable subscription?

You can get your renewable subscription during September.

ADVANTAGES OF A SEASON-TICKET HOLDER

I cannot attend one of the operas included in my season-ticket?

As a season-ticket holder, you have the option to change the performance day of an event, provided that there are seats available. This service can be used twice during the whole season. More information on our website.

How can I change the performance day?

This service can be asked from one month up to five days before the premiere of the opera.

Fill in the form available on our website or send it to abonos@www.lesarts.com. It can also be sent by fax (96 197 59 01) or delivered in person at the box office. This service can be used twice during the whole season.

 

 

Do I have priority to buy tickets?

Season-ticket holders enjoy a preferential sales period before the tickets can be purchased by the general public. You will find more information on our website.

I cannot find my season-ticket card and there’s a performance today.

Show your ID to the box office staff and your tickets for today will be printed.

If you think that you’ve definitely lost your card, ask to have the rest of the tickets printed. In case of loss, the card won’t be copied.

Can I change the way of payment of my season-ticket?

Any changes related to your bank data need to be done by filling the corresponding form on our website and:

  • deliver it at the Palau de les Arts box office

Do I get a discount to use L’Umbracle parking facilities?

At the beginning of the season, Season-ticket holders of Palau de les Arts can get vouchers at our box office to use L’Umbracle car park. These tickets cost 2,00 € each and are valid for 4 hours.

Tickets are directly validated at L’Umbracle cash desk before getting out of the parking.
