We need extras for the production of Giuseppe Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, which Palau de les Arts will prepare during March-May 2024.
We need / Roles:
- 4 men, 18 to 35 years old, in good shape and with good performing qualities (at least one of them must be of very dark skin).
- knowledge in voguing (old way/new way) and/or knowledge in commercial dance/hip hop with notions in voguing.
- 1 men, 18 to 40 years old, in good shape and with good performing qualities
- knowledge in voguing (old way/new way) and/or knowledge in commercial dance/hip hop with notions in voguing.
We are looking for versatile people in good shape, great to work with partners and groups.
Candidates must fill in the form on our web page and send by WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/) the CV, 2-3 full body pictures and portrait pictures, also a video with the requests is required (the duration will be between one and two minutes).
Video Requests:
- 4 men: Send a video in which you dance (1-2 min) using voguing language (it may be old way, new way or both). As a reference, Vogue video performed by Madonna for the MTVs can be used: link,even though your own choreographies will be valued as well.
- 1 men: Send a video where you are a Master of ceremonies organizing an event or ceremony, and who loves to dance and improvise voguing and hip hop. For the dance, as a reference, you can use Vogue video performed by Madonna for the MTVs: link.
The selection will not be done in person. It will be done after examining the material received.
Extra-community candidates need to have a valid work permit and residence.
Candidates need to have full availability and to be over 18 years old.
The deadline to send the application is 3rd March 2024.
The list of the registered people will be published on 4thMarch 2024.
The final list will be published on 13th March 2024.
The rehearsal dates are: 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28 March, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 18 April 2024.
The performance dates are: 21st (6:00 pm), 25th (7:30 pm), 28th April (6:00 pm), 2nd (7:30 pm) and 5th (6:00 pm) May 2024.
