Angel Blue's international career began to flourish during her time at our Centre de Perfeccionament. It was there that she had the opportunity to make her debut in her first major role - Micaela in Carmen - alongside Elīna Garanča, conducted by Zubin Mehta, in 2010. Since then, the talented Los Angeles soprano has shone on prestigious stages such as La Scala, the Metropolitan and Covent Garden, performing iconic roles such as Aida, La traviata and Tosca, and La bohème, which she sang at Les Arts in 2015. She is also a renowned recitalist, particularly of African-American spirituals and French, German and American composers, which she will demonstrate in her eagerly awaited return to Les Arts with a selection of pieces by Poulenc, Strauss, Gershwin and other composers.
