Tristan und Isolde, or the mysticism of dissolution
The story of Isolde from Ireland and the young Tristan shows the transcendent nature of love as a breaker of boundaries and transgressor of corporeality. The sense of infinity sought by the musical development, the continuous transformation of the original melodic cell, the destruction of prior forms, have only one horizon as their goal: the overcoming of physical bonds.Tristan and Isolde are the life beyond life, which is the synonym of death; death being the step towards the most perfect form of energy which, like a blinding light, fuses everything in an abyss of the unconscious and supreme delight.
