The 7th CaixaBank Festival of Orchestras of the Comunitat Valenciana is being held for the first time at the Palau de les Arts. Once again, we are attending a musical event of great quality, where we will be able to enjoy the magnificent performances that the participating orchestras have prepared with enthusiasm, passion and dedication.
The «CaixaBank escolta València» programme, designed to promote and recognise musical activity in the Comunitat Valenciana, includes the promotion of orchestras as one of its most important lines of action.
Organised by the Deputy Directorate for Music and Valencian Popular Culture of the Institut Valencià de Cultura, in collaboration with the Federació de Societats Musicals de la Comunitat Valenciana (FSMCV), it is sponsored by CaixaBank.
We continue to drive improvements and new projects, but the main goal remains, without any doubt, to achieve the satisfaction of our musical societies and their ensembles. Many of them have encouraged us to continue with this initiative, as they are already seeing the multiple benefits this project brings them in a short period of time. And we can do no other than listen to them and follow their guidance.
Our commitment also involves improving the quality of our orchestral ensembles and the training and motivation of Valencian string players. These musicians are reaching very high levels of excellence as members of the finest professional orchestras in our country and throughout Europe. We therefore aim to offer an appropriate response to so much Valencian talent.
With the utmost enthusiasm, we have launched this seventh edition of the festival, which offers many attractions, above all the long-standing trajectory and quality of the participating orchestras, as well as the presence of orchestras that are just beginning their musical journey. And, of course, all this within the incomparable setting of the Palau de les Arts and with the careful organisation of the event. In short, a festival for Valencian society as a whole to enjoy.
