Les Arts resumes its collaboration with Daniele Gatti, following the resounding success of his Verdi Requiem in 2020. Five years of waiting that are well worth it for the “gift” that the Milanese conductor offers music lovers and which represents an artistic challenge in our programme: the cycle of Brahms' four symphonies. Exceptional music, particularly suited to Gatti's style, as demonstrated by previous complete performances such as the one given in Madrid in 2012 with the Vienna Philharmonic. Premiered in Brahms's prime, these scores were born of the excellence of an innovative style that combines the classical tradition of the symphony with the sincere expression of his feelings, as can particularly be seen in the beautiful adagios and allegrettos of exquisite and elegant design, including that of Symphony No. 3, a faithful portrait of the spirit of the Hamburg composer.
