85% of sales have taken place in the Valencian Community, primarily in Valencia and its metropolitan area. Nationally, after the Valencian Community, Catalonia and the Community of Madrid follow. Internationally, season ticket purchases have been recorded in Germany, the USA, Austria, and France, among other countries.
Sales have remained steady in the first three days, with 901 season tickets sold on Monday, July 3; 1,020 on Tuesday; and 1,100 on Wednesday, July 5. The most popular time slots have been A Opera Premieres and D Opera Reduced.
The initial sales figures exceed all initial forecasts and reaffirm that the Palau de les Arts presents in its first season one of the most attractive and competitive opera offerings, in terms of price and quality, on the international circuit.
The first few days of telephone sales for Palau de les Arts season tickets have registered a very high number of calls, peaking at over 4,000 calls in 30 minutes, which has caused periods of saturation on the telephone lines.
These situations are common in the first days of ticket sales for top-level leisure and cultural events, especially when it comes to first seasons and new shows.
Therefore, the Palau de les Arts apologizes to the public for any inconvenience caused by telephone waits and dropped calls, which were beyond the organization's control, and informs them that season ticket requests will be processed gradually. In this regard, all complaints and issues that arose during this period will be addressed.
Duplication of Call Center Resources
Furthermore, the auditorium announces that there are still options available for purchasing season tickets, in terms of type and number, sufficient to meet demand.
Given the large number of calls (more than 70,000 on the first day), the Palau de les Arts has doubled the resources of the Call Center, in operators, capacity of telephone lines and computer tools, which has led to a significant reduction in the number of calls on hold (from 80 on the first day to 30 yesterday).
The telephone sales system is the most common method used by opera houses and cultural institutions for the sale of season tickets and individual tickets.
The Palau de les Arts reminds everyone that the telephone sales period has been extended until August 25. From August 28 to September 5, season tickets can be purchased at the Palau de les Arts box office.
The Palau de les Arts offers a total of 36 different types of season tickets, depending on the performance time (premieres, weekends, weekdays, reduced prices, and major soloists) and the different viewing areas in the Main Hall.
