The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment and President of the Executive Committee of the Palau de les Arts-Fundació de la Comunitat Valenciana, Gerardo Camps, and the President of Bancaja, José Luis Olivas, have today signed a business collaboration agreement between the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía and this banking entity, by which Bancaja becomes the main sponsor of the Valencian coliseum.
Through this agreement, Bancaja will act as a patron of the Palau de les Arts, contributing €1,000,000 to support cultural activities of general interest held at the auditorium. The agreement has a duration of one year and includes a provision for its renewal.

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment has indicated that "this agreement demonstrates the commitment and collaboration of the institutions to promote the cultural and social purpose of the Palau de les Arts."

Camps pointed out that “the Consell has made many efforts to launch a project like the Palau de les Arts, but to turn that project into reality and make these facilities the most important arts space in our country, society needs to be involved through various forms of collaboration.”

“Therefore,” Camps continued, “we in the Government are aware of the importance of this collaboration in achieving our founding goals and meeting the cultural expectations of society. Specifically, in the case of the Palau de les Arts, the Consell is advocating for the dissemination of music in general and opera in particular, a commitment that Bancaja has expressed through this agreement.”

Furthermore, Gerardo Camps highlighted the social aspect of this commitment between the Palau de les Arts and Bancaja, "since among the aims of the agreement and of the coliseum itself is the desire to involve citizens in the artistic project and to promote education and artistic culture."

– Commitments of the Palau de les Arts

For its part, the Palau de les Arts Foundation commits to Bancaja to promote the brand and logo of this entity in the different communication elements of the coliseum, mention it in the Foundation's annual report and include the entity's logo on the Palau's website.

According to Gerardo Camps, “with this agreement, the Palau de les Arts fulfills its commitment to facilitate the dissemination of culture to private entities through the activities of the coliseum and at the same time allows private initiatives to associate their image with an institution of great national and international projection.”

In addition, a Joint Monitoring Committee will be established, made up of two representatives from each of the institutions that signed the agreement, which will supervise and promote the execution and development of the signed agreement.

The Palau de les Arts Foundation's patronage program is designed to encourage private funding for the activities undertaken and, at the same time, to promote the direct participation of the business world in the project and its management.
