The Valencian coliseum, as part of its commitment to encompass all musical styles, will offer a concert in which Sambeat, who is considered the most internationally prestigious Spanish saxophonist, will conduct the Valencia Big Band in the auditorium's Aula Magistral.
For this unique event, Perico Sambeat will lead what is known in the jazz world as a Big Band, that is, a jazz orchestra, which on this occasion will be made up of 19 of the most important musicians of the Valencian jazz scene and some of the great musicians of our country.
The Valencia Big Band will perform a repertoire of entirely original works and arrangements for this concert, which will fuse elements of contemporary, African, and flamenco music.
Specifically, Perico Sambeat and the Valencia Big Band will perform Sambeat's own works: Triptik, De Camino, Children's Corner, Memoria de un sueño, Epicuro, Amadla, and Matilda (composed in collaboration with Carles Alberola). The repertoire for this coming April 21st will also include Jo vull que m'acariciis by Tete Montoliu.
For this jazz concert, the Palau de les Arts is once again committed to its policy of affordable prices with tickets at a single price of 15 euros.
