The arts center will repeat this proposal in May for Narciso , by Domenico Scarlatti, the last opera of the season.

Valencia. The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía has launched a new initiative within its Guided Tours service, which includes attending an opera rehearsal.

The new tour format allows visitors to see firsthand the work done before the premiere of an opera or zarzuela production, as well as tour the different spaces and rooms housed in the building designed by Santiago Calatrava.

The arts center launched this new guided tour program yesterday, Friday, and all tickets sold out in less than 24 hours, as visitor numbers are limited for artistic reasons. The price was €15, and tickets were sold exclusively through www.lesarts.com.

From the boxes of the Main Hall, 50 people enjoyed 30 minutes of one of the last rehearsals of Nabucco , by Verdi, one of the most appreciated operas of the composer from Busseto.

The audience witnessed live the work of Nicola Luisotti, musical director, and Yannis Kokkos, stage director, with the singers, extras, Choir and the Orchestra of the Valencian Community, as well as listening to the famous 'Va pensiero', one of the opera's highlights, performed by the Choir of the Valencian Government.

Given the excellent response, the Palau de les Arts announces that it will repeat this new guided tour format for Narciso , by Domenico Scarlatti, the last operatic title of the Season, which will be performed at the Teatre Martín i Soler with musical direction by Federico Maria Sardelli and stage direction by Davide Livermore.
