'Matins a Les Arts' invites citizens to their first experience in the Main Hall of Les Arts

06.10.2019

The Palau de les Arts opens the doors of its Main Hall on Sunday mornings with a new activity, 'Matins a Les Arts', an invitation to all citizens to enjoy their first experience in the theatre, from the center of all its activity, the Main Hall.

With a single ticket of five euros, Les Arts invites you to discover its Main Hall with performances by the theatre's main artistic assets, the Center de Perfection Plácido Domingo, the Cor de la Generalitat or the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (OCV).

The OCV inaugurates the cycle of morning sessions on Sunday, October 13, with a chamber music concert featuring works by Antonín Dvořák and Xavier Montsalvatge at 12:00 pm.

As an accompaniment, the public will be able to view an exhibition in the Main Hall of costumes and props from two contemporary operas by these two composers: 'Peter Grimes', by Benjamin Britten, and 'La Bohème', by Giacomo Puccini.

'Matins a Les Arts' is part of the 'Les Arts és per a tots' program, which includes educational or family activities, dedicated to all kinds of musical genres, in the different spaces and rooms of the theater.

The proposals, which are free or have a symbolic price, aim to open up to new audiences who have not yet had the opportunity to attend a show in the building designed by Santiago Calatrava.

In addition to the performance on October 13, Les Arts will open its Main Hall on five other Sunday mornings on January 26, February 16, March 8, April 5 and May 24, 2020.
