07.01.2020

The French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky makes his debut at the Palau de les Arts diumenge que ve, 12 de gener, in the third session of the cycle 'Les Arts és Lied'.

The prestigious performer is one of the most relevant figures on the lyrical scene, adding to the list of great artists debuting at the Arts in the 2019-2020 season.

Public and critics credit Philippe Jaroussky as the quintessential countertenor of the second generation in his six careers at the main theaters and festivals with his six record records.

With the piano accompaniment of Jérôme Ducros, the countertenor, great star of the Baroque repertoire, presents to the Arts the new incipient facet of 'liederista', with which he displays the technical mastery and elegance that characterize his subsequent performances.

With a letter of introduction, Philippe Jaroussky interprets scores by Franz Schubert, as the great master of the 'lied', not only for the more than 600 fish that he will write, but also for the lyricism and richness of his works.

'Les Arts és Lied', the first cycle that the center d'arts dedicates to this genre, will continue with the recitals of the British baritone Simon Keenlyside - on February 1 - and the Guipuscoan soprano Ainhoa Arteta, on March 15.

The coliseum reminds interested parties that the price of tickets ranges between 20 and 40 euros and that they can be purchased at the theater box office or through the website www.lesarts.com .
