Valencia (25.11.20). The pure singing of Juan Cortes, ' Duquende ', is the protagonist of the second session of the 'Les Arts és Flamenco' cycle, which takes place this Saturday, November 28, at the Teatre Martín i Soler, at 9:00 p.m.
Following the visit of one of the most media-savvy figures in the genre, José Mercé, Les Arts continues its commitment to showcasing the different perspectives and facets of flamenco singing to the public throughout the 2020-2021 Season.
Discovered by Camarón de La Isla at just eight years old and heir to the tradition of the mythical genius of flamenco, Duquende is one of the most respected figures in flamenco singing, with a long solo career and a distinctive personality.
As an artist, the singer from Sabadell champions the purity of flamenco without fundamentalism, believes that fusions are not necessary to be a modern singer and therefore affirms that "the purer the singing, the more modern it is."
In his first performance at Les Arts, Duquende will be accompanied on guitar by one of the most inspired players of the new generation, Diego del Morao.
Les Arts reminds everyone that tickets for the Duquende concert are priced at a single rate of 30 euros. For more information, please visit the theater's website, www.lesarts.com.
