Marina Heredia is one of the most important figures in flamenco. She possesses a distinctive, genuinely flamenco voice, which she wields with a formidable technique acquired from her family of artists and neighbors who gathered at private parties in the Albaicín district of Granada, where she was born. That little girl grew artistically through hard work and study until she became the most sought-after flamenco singer on the circuit and at festivals. Furthermore, her foray into classical music, especially as a soloist in Falla's El amor brujo, has sparked the interest of prestigious orchestras such as the Chicago and San Francisco Symphony Orchestras and conductors like Pablo Heras-Casado, with whom she has recorded Falla's work alongside the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
