KIKI MORENTE

The legacy of the sadly deceased Enrique Morente continues, not only in his daughters Estrella Morente and Soleá, but also in the emerging career of his son Kiki Morente, “a noble flame from the fire that was Enrique Morente: art, balance, timing, knowing how to sing”, critics have said of him. Although he had accompanied his father on stage since he was a child, it was not until 2017 that he decided to publish his debut album, Albayzín, offering classical flamenco singing (cante) in homage to the neighbourhood where he was born. In 2021, he took a leap with the recording of El cante, where he already introduced some songs with his own lyrics and music, reflecting on the new times for flamenco, always with cante as its essence.
