Andrè Schuen

Last season Andrè Schuen laid claim with his "extraordinary version" of Brahms’ cycle Die schöne Magelone in Les Arts that he is a worthy heir to the great Lieder singers, "at the level of any legend from the past or present". Once again, the young artist born in the Italian Tyrol, now established as "a star of singing who breaks stereotypes”, comes to delight us with his beautiful lyrical baritone voice in a selection of Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn songs. He is accompanied by a chamber ensemble made up of teachers from the Orchestra of the Region of Valencia, conducted by Anna Sułkowska-Migoń, winner of the La Maestra conductor’s competition. This same concert will be repeated a few days later at the Castellón de la Plana Auditorium and at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.
