QUERENCIA

Querencia, created by Antonio Najarro, is a sensory and visual journey that celebrates the identity and international projection of Spanish dance, paying tribute to its stylistic richness. The show, structured in 11 choreographed scenes with 14 dancers on stage, covers styles such as the bolero school, stylised dance, folklore, flamenco and traditional dance, fusing tradition and modernity under Najarro's personal vision. The original music, composed by Moisés Sánchez and recorded by the Extremadura Orchestra, brings a fresh air to the Spanish symphonic repertoire, with nods to Falla, Turina and Albéniz, but with a contemporary language. The innovative costumes designed by Yaiza Pinillos enhance the staging, where aesthetic harmony and physical expressiveness take centre stage.
