China celebrates its New Year 2026 this February in Valencia with a dazzling sound show.
In Chinese culture, the New Year is one of the most important holidays. It is celebrated on the day of the new moon between January and February, marking the transition from winter to spring.
2026, the Year of the Fire Horse, will be celebrated with this spectacular concert at the Auditori of Les Arts, where the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra will premiere a new show: The Colors of China, an impressive performance with nine musical numbers based on the powerful meaning of colours in Chinese culture, which seeks beauty through imagination.
The Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, considered the most outstanding traditional music ensemble in China, brings its best soloists to Valencia. At this special event, the musicians will perform a program with ancient Chinese instruments that reflects their particular vision of the chromatic aesthetics of Chinese culture, evoking through sound the nuances, emotions, and symbols that form part of the millennial artistic imagination.
