Valencia (24.4.26). The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía welcomes soprano Katharina Konradi this Sunday, April 26, who makes her debut in Valencia, accompanied by pianist Julius Drake, with an evening dedicated to German Lied and Spanish song, in the Main Hall (7.00 p.m.).
Acclaimed for her crystalline voice, exquisite musicality, and “fascinating palette of colors,” Katharina Konradi is emerging as one of the essential artists of the new generation of Lieder performers. Her exceptional sensitivity, expressiveness, and stylistic precision have captivated audiences in the great “temples” of the genre, such as London’s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Vienna’s Konzerthaus, and Austria’s prestigious Schubertiade festival.
For his performance at Les Arts, Konradi proposes a suggestive dialogue between the Central European Romantic Lied , with two of its references: Franz Schubert and Ferenc Liszt, and the Spanish song of the 20th and 21st centuries, with pages by Eduard Toldrà, Enrique Granados, Fernando Obradors and Antón García Abril.
The program includes some of the most celebrated pieces of the genre, among which Schubert's 'Ave Maria' stands out, along with 'Oh! quand je dors', possibly Liszt's most popular Lied , or 'El vito', Obradors' emblematic song with which he will close the recital.
Following Katharina Konradi's performance, soprano Angel Blue will close the Les Arts és Lied cycle on June 7th in the Main Hall.
Les Arts reminds everyone that tickets for Katharina Konradi's recital can be purchased through the theater's various sales channels: box offices, the telephone sales line 96 197 59 00 and the official Les Arts website.
