Valencia (22.3.26). The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía dedicates its evening devoted to the greatest voices in the operatic scene to the American soprano Nadine Sierra, who, accompanied on the piano by Bryan Wagorn, will perform some of the arias from the most emblematic roles and works of her career in a single recital this Thursday, March 26, in the Main Hall (7.30 p.m.).
Nadine Sierra, currently considered the new great diva of the international circuit, debuted at Les Arts in 2014, shortly after her victory at the 13th Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition. Her performance that year was in the role of Norina in Donizetti's Don Pasquale , and in 2016 she sang the role of Tytania in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream , marking the beginning of a spectacular career.
The American artist returns to Valencia, 10 years later, having become one of the most dazzling stars of opera, with engagements in the main theaters and festivals, which have surrendered to her colossal performances in titles such as La traviata , Rigoletto or La sonnambula .
Acclaimed for the beauty of her voice, her elegant and refined singing, as well as her captivating stage presence, Nadine Sierra embodies the charisma and glamour of the greatest opera stars. The American singer dedicates the first part of her recital at Les Arts to her operatic repertoire, featuring titles such as Donizetti's Don Pasquale , Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro , and Puccini's La bohème and La Rondine .
After the intermission, the Florida soprano offers a journey through her Latin roots, as well as her ties to Spanish culture, with a repertoire that includes Four Love Madrigals by Valencian composer Joaquín Rodrigo, Sentimental Melody by Heitor Villa-Lobos, and "They Call Me the Prettiest" from The Barber of Seville by Gerónimo Giménez. Latin American folk songs will feature in another key moment of the evening, with three of the genre's most popular compositions: "Bésame Mucho ," " Estrellita," and "Cielito Lindo ."
Les Arts reminds you that tickets for Nadine Sierra's recital can be purchased through any of the theater's sales channels: box offices, the sales line 96 197 59 00 and the Les Arts website.
