Following the excellent reception of the monographs dedicated to Mozart, Rossini, Verdi and Poulenc, this season, Les Arts presents Tchaikovsky 72H , an approach to the artistic and human dimension of the Russian composer, one of the essential names of musical Romanticism, coinciding with the performances of his opera Eugene Onegin in the Main Hall.

The program begins on Friday, January 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Teatre Martín i Soler with The Heartbeat of Tchaikovsky , A performance that fuses movement with vocal pieces by the Professional Music Conservatory of Valencia. At 6:45 p.m., the Aula Magistral hosts "Una llibreria, un encuentro casual… un geni turmentat" (A Bookstore, a Casual Encounter… a Tormented Genius) , a dramatization with musical accompaniment by the Professional Music Conservatory of Meliana, which proposes an imaginary encounter between contemporaries of Tchaikovsky to explore his work and personality.

The day culminates with a performance of Eugene Onegin in the Main Hall, followed by stage interventions on Eugene Onegin in the Aula Magistral at 8:00 p.m. In this activity, the Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic de València (ESAD) will showcase various student set design projects for the promotion of the opera Eugene Onegin.

On Saturday, January 24, you can enjoy the recitals Tchaikovsky a viva veu (12:30 pm) and Tchaikovsky and His Time: European Dialogues (5:00 pm) at the Teatre Martín i Soler, as well as Tchaikovsky Simfònic , a concert by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia, conducted by Hilari García, with a program that includes, among other pieces, Swan Lake . In addition, on this day, Les Arts will welcome inmates from the Picassent Penitentiary Center, who will participate in some of the marathon's activities.

The program concludes on Sunday, January 25, with events aimed at diverse audiences. At 11:00 a.m., the Aula Magistral hosts "Tchaikovsky, the Boy Who Dreamed of Music ," a collaboration between the Mariano Pérez Sánchez Professional Music Conservatory of Requena and the Mireia Cabau Dance School. This performance combines music, image, and dance to transport the audience back to the composer's early years under the watchful eye of his governess, Fanny Dürbach.

The singers and pianists of the Centre de Perfeccionament, with a recital (12.30 h) about the Russian composer, and the third performance of Eugene Onegin (6:00 p.m.) brings the marathon to a close.
