Valencia (5.2.24). The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía inaugurates its programming line dedicated to world music, 'Les Arts és Altres Músiques' with a performance by Carminho, the great international star of fado, this coming Thursday, February 8, at 7.30 p.m. in the Auditori.
The Portuguese singer-songwriter will present 'Portuguesa' in Valencia. The city on the Turia River will be one of only two stops in Spain for the fado diva on her new world tour, where she will be promoting her sixth studio album.
The renowned 'fadista' signs the production of this album, with 14 compositions, several with lyrics and music by Carminho herself.
The album also features collaborations with other renowned composers and lyricists such as Luisa Sobral, Joana Espadinha, Alfredo Marceneiro, and Antonio Campos, among others. In an attempt to delve deeper into her understanding of fado, Carminho explores combinations within the established canons, rethinking the form and moving with ease.
Les Arts reports that tickets for the Carminho concert are priced between 34 and 50 euros.
