The Palau de les Arts will be able to accommodate more than 4,000 people simultaneously in its four auditoriums, equipped with the highest technology and facilities for the performance of opera, music, dance and performing arts in general.
The presentation of the Palau de les Arts to Valencian society is scheduled for October 8th, while the inaugural season will begin in the fall of 2006.
The innovative architecture of this 40,000 square meter building, 75 meters high, houses four large halls: Main Hall, Lecture Hall, Upper Amphitheater and Chamber Hall.
The Palau de les Arts is designed, both in terms of its architectural merits and stage equipment, as well as its artistic content, to rival the most prestigious opera houses in the world. It will also serve as a venue for the most important performing arts events on the international cultural circuit. Ultimately, it will become a leading international arts center.
In this way, the Palau de les Arts will place the Valencian Community at the forefront of musical regions worldwide, as demanded by the centuries-old musical tradition of this community.
Furthermore, with the impetus of this center, the Valencian Community will be provided with an important center for boosting the Valencian cultural sector, both in the field of training and in the promotion and encouragement of the abundant artistic resources that our community has.
