The Director of the Palau de les Arts, Helga Schmidt, and the CEO of Auto Catalá Mercedes Benz, Diego Aznar, have today signed a sponsorship agreement through which the automotive firm becomes the official vehicle of the Valencian coliseum.
The sponsorship agreement will continue until the end of the first season of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, specifically until May 2007, including the Operalia Competition and the Mediterranean Festival.
The agreement stipulates that the Palau de les Arts will have access to a fleet of Mercedes C, S, and E-series vehicles for the agreed period to meet various needs. For its part, Auto Catalá will have the right to advertise its brand in various pre-established locations within the Palau de les Arts.
Helga Schmidt has stated that the signing of this agreement “is a historic moment for the Palau de les Arts, as it is the first example, the beginning of a broad and extensive sponsorship program.” In this regard, Schmidt explained that “numerous local, national, and international companies are interested in collaborating with the Palau de les Arts, which will result in new sponsorship agreements.”
Schmidt also stated that, “for any company, institution or individual, associating their image with the Palau de les Arts is a great investment, since its commitment to quality will attract tourists and music lovers from all over the world and it has already become a national and international ambassador for the Valencian Community.”
The Palau de les Arts Sponsorship and Patronage Program includes five categories of economic and financial support: Patrons, Patrons, Sponsors, Benefactors, and Friends of the Arts. These categories are open to companies, associations, groups, individuals, foundations, institutions, and other administrations, both national and international.
In this regard, Schmidt explained that the Sponsorship and Patronage Program of the Palau de les Arts “is designed to serve the objectives of the coliseum, which are none other than the promotion of musical culture and the performing arts of the Valencian Community and the abundant resources it has.”
