The website of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, www.lesarts.com, has received a total of 102,589 visits since its launch in September 2005. Of these, approximately 80,000 are first visits, while the rest are repeat visits.
The Palau de les Arts website offers comprehensive and detailed information about the opera house's programming and various activities. The website includes, among others, the following sections: Palau de les Arts, with general information about the Valencian opera house; Programming; Tickets and Season Tickets; Orchestra; Press; Sponsorship; and Images. The website is available in Spanish, English, and Valencian.
The Palau's website has been viewed an average of 639 times per day in the last month. On July 3rd, the start of the Season Ticket Sales Campaign, a peak of 3,007 tickets were sold. A sign of the international interest the Palau generates is that around 20% of the visits recorded to date have come from abroad.
The Programming section offers detailed information about each of the operas, concerts, recitals, and shows scheduled for the first season, 2006/07. It is a varied program aimed at diverse audiences, encompassing all performing arts genres with a common denominator of artistic quality.
From August 28, season tickets of all types, including opera, will be available again at the Palau de les Arts box office. Individual tickets for each performance will go on sale on October 16. Opera, encompassing all its styles and genres, will feature prominently, with the following titles scheduled: Fidelio, La Bohème, Don Giovanni, La Belle et la Bête, Cyrano de Bergerac, Simon Boccanegra, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, L'enfant et les sortilèges, and the zarzuela La Bruja. This operatic offering is complemented by symphonic concerts by Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, and Jesús López Cobos; recitals by Daniel Barenboim; a Jazz Opera directed by Milos Forman; a dance performance by Nacho Duato; and a musical theatre production by Els Comediants, among other events.
In the Tickets and Season Tickets section, you can check the season ticket schedules offered, of which only the Great Soloists season ticket can currently be purchased by phone.
In the Press section you can find all the press releases related to the institution and its activities, and in the Sponsorship section the four categories of collaboration between the foundation and private entities are explained: sponsors, protectors, benefactors, suppliers.
The Palau de les Arts also offers an Images section on its website where you can download photographs of architect Calatrava's spectacular building, as well as photos from the inaugural concerts. Finally, www.lesarts.com includes the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía presentation video.
