The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía's Season Ticket Campaign for its first 2006-2007 season has been a resounding success, with all opera season tickets sold out.
Specifically, the coliseum will begin its first 2006-2007 season with a total of 6,093 season tickets, a figure that, in the words of Luis Lobón, regional secretary of Events and Projects, “has exceeded expectations and reaffirms the commitment of the Valencian Government to one of the most important cultural projects with the greatest international projection of recent years.”

According to Luis Lobón, “the response from Valencian society to this campaign and the programming at the Palau de les Arts has been excellent, an unprecedented event in the first season of a cultural complex.” He added that “nowhere in the cultural and leisure scene has there been such anticipation for the public presentation of an institution like this.”

Analysis of the data after the two sales phases, telephone and at the box office, reveals that all types of season tickets offered by the Palau de les Arts have generated maximum interest from music lovers.

Luis Lobón also expressed his satisfaction that a large number of citizens from the Valencian Community and across Spain have shown interest in purchasing season tickets. In this regard, he lamented that "not all season ticket applications could be fulfilled because the high demand far exceeded the supply."

Expanding the number of performances On this aspect, the regional secretary for Events and Projects has announced that the Palau de les Arts is studying expanding the number of performances for the opera productions of the next season, “in order to accommodate more subscribers and give a greater number of citizens the opportunity to enjoy the program and the Palau de les Arts.”

In the first phase of telephone sales of season tickets, which began on July 3, more than 200,000 calls were registered from citizens interested in purchasing season tickets.

90% of subscribers are from Valencia and the metropolitan area, and 10% are from the rest of the Valencian Community and Spain. Nationally, the largest number of subscribers come from the Community of Madrid and Catalonia.

Luis Lobón has emphasized that the success of the Season Ticket Campaign is "only a symptom of the projection of the Palau de les Arts, since everything related to this magnificent coliseum generates the maximum expectation and interest both in the Community and beyond our borders."

He also stated that "the positive impact of the Palau de les Arts goes beyond the cultural aspect, as the coliseum is proving to be a true economic, tourist and social catalyst for the Valencian Community."

General ticket sales begin October 16th

Furthermore, the Palau de les Arts will begin general ticket sales on October 16th, so those interested still have the opportunity to enjoy all the shows included in the first season, including operas, symphonic concerts, recitals, etc.

During the general ticket sales phase, more than 10% of the total capacity for each performance has been reserved for public sale. Finally, Luis Lobón emphasized that “Valencia, through the Palau de les Arts, offers the most competitive price-quality ratio in the international opera scene, a program designed to satisfy all tastes and musical styles.”

The first season of the Palau de les Arts 2006-2007 covers all performing arts genres under the common denominator of artistic quality.

The first season features prominent names such as Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel, Plácido Domingo, and Daniel Barenboim, who will be present in various operas, concerts, and recitals.

For those who have purchased their season ticket by phone or at the box office, it is expected that around the middle of September they will receive a letter from the Palau de les Arts indicating the two possibilities for collecting their season ticket card: either in person at the box office or by choosing to have it sent to the address they indicate.
