The central stage platform of the Main Hall of the Palau de les Arts suffers a breakdown due to a mechanical failure

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía reports that the central stage platform of the Main Hall has suffered a breakdown as a result of a mechanical failure which has caused it to give way from its position to a lower level.
This incident occurred on Saturday, December 2nd at around 11:00 AM while the sets for the operas in the Palau de les Arts program were being changed; no personal injuries were reported.

Throughout Saturday, stage equipment and construction technicians from the Palau de les Arts are evaluating the causes and possible consequences of this incident.

It has become technically impossible to stage the final performance of La Bohème scheduled for Sunday, December 3, as well as Ana María Sánchez's recital on December 4. The Palau de les Arts regrets any inconvenience this may cause to subscribers and the public attending these two performances and informs them that they will be compensated accordingly.
