The Palau de les Arts renews more than a third of its season ticket holders in the first week of the campaign

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía has renewed more than a third of its season ticket holders in the first week of the campaign.
The process, which began on July 30th and will continue until September 7th, is meeting the expectations of the Coliseum; it can also be seen that the demand for new season tickets is considerably exceeding the number of cancellation requests received to date.

As the Mayor anticipated in a press conference, the increase in the price of season tickets for the new season is around 10% compared to the same seats last season; however, as a result of the modifications to improve visibility, comfort and acoustics made by the architect Santiago Calatrava, Zone 4, which has benefited significantly, has adjusted its prices to the reality of its new location.

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía Foundation has established two new shifts, G and H, in order not to harm those subscribers who may have been affected by the aforementioned improvement works.

Preferential acquisition period for the 1st Mediterranean Festival

The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía will host the first edition of the postponed Festival del Mediterrani during the summer of 2008.

This annual event, presided over by Maestro Zubin Mehta, will begin with a new production of Turandot by the great Chinese filmmaker Chen Kaige, winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1993 for Farewell My Concubine, on May 24th, followed by Siegfried with La Fura dels Baus and the zarzuela La corte de Faraón.

Season ticket holders will have priority access to purchase tickets for the Festival del Mediterrani. The season ticket campaign for the Festival is scheduled to begin in late autumn of this year.
