Valencia (16-9-09).- The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía begins tomorrow, Thursday, September 17, the period for acquiring Combined Passes for the 2009-2010 season, a new product that will allow spectators to visit the different rooms of the Santiago Calatrava building while enjoying its contents.
Those interested in this new initiative from the Valencian arts center can choose—subject to availability—the performance dates and the type of tickets for the shows offered that best suit their needs. These tickets are offered at a 15% discount on the total purchase price.

The shows included in the Combined Pass offer are the new production of Una cosa rara, by Vicente Martín i Soler, staged by Francisco Negrín and with musical direction alternating between Ottavio Dantone and Sergio Alapont, at the Teatre Martín i Soler; the Mariinsky Ballet accompanied by the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, conducted by Valeri Gergiev and with Carlos Acosta as guest soloist; Prodaná nevěsta (The Bartered Bride) by Bedřich Smetana with Tomáš Netopil as musical director and Daniel Slater as stage director, in the Main Hall; and one of the five concerts that the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana will offer in the Auditori of the Valencian arts center under the batons of Lorin Maazel, Enrique García Asensio, Gianandrea Noseda and Omer Meir Wellber.

The application form for Combined Passes is available on the Palau de les Arts website, www.lesarts.com. The application period will begin tomorrow, Thursday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m., and will end at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18.
