The Palau de les Arts begins the renewal and sale of season tickets with discounts of up to 15%.

Valencia (22-9-12).- The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía has started the renewal and sale campaign for season tickets for its 2012-2013 Season.

For this new season, the Valencian arts center has introduced discounts and benefits for its subscribers, as well as new initiatives for the general public in order to bring its programming and activities closer to all citizens.

The offer comprises eight different subscription packages, all of them with a carefully curated selection of shows that make up the seventh season of the Palau de les Arts, which pays tribute to Giuseppe Verdi on the bicentenary of his birth. 

The arts center's program includes two works by the composer from Busseto: Rigoletto , which opens the 2012-2013 season on November 10, and I due Foscari , starring Plácido Domingo in what is the 140th role of his career. Italian opera will also be featured with a new production of Puccini's La Bohème , conducted by Riccardo Chailly, and Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia , with Omer Meir Wellber conducting. Die Zauberflöte ( The Magic Flute ), Mozart's most frequently performed opera, closes the operatic offerings with Maestro Ottavio Dantone as music director.

Riccardo Chailly inaugurates the Palau de les Arts symphonic cycle with Beethoven's Ninth Symphony , which this season will feature, among others, Plácido Domingo, Omer Meir Wellber, Guillermo García Calvo and Rafael Payare leading the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana.

In order to adapt to the preferences and expectations of all spectators, the range of subscription options presented this year by the Palau de les Arts ranges from 226.10 euros for the cheapest option of Turn H, which includes up to 3 of the operas of the Season, to 828 euros for the Turn A subscription in zone 1.

The deadline for submitting both the personal and contact information update forms and the subscription cancellation forms is next Wednesday, September 26. Once this process is complete, the period for requesting changes to location and shift via form will open on Thursday, September 27.

Those wishing to purchase new season tickets for the 2012-2013 season can submit their application until October 5th.

For the current season, the Palau de les Arts announces that subscribers who opt for the single payment option will receive an additional 5% discount, on top of the 10% discount already included in the subscription price. Furthermore, a new distribution of ticket zones has been implemented for the Main Hall and Auditorium, with the aim of reducing the purchase price of a large percentage of tickets.

Furthermore, the Valencian cultural enclave has introduced new promotional actions within the program 'A space for all audiences', in which purchases by groups belonging to non-profit social and cultural entities and associations will be of special importance.
