The Palau de les Arts begins general ticket sales for the 2012-2013 Season on October 25th

Valencia (23-10-12).- The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía will begin general ticket sales for the 2012-2013 Season this coming Thursday, October 25, through its website www.lesarts.com .
From Friday, October 26, those interested can also purchase their tickets through the box office, the telephone sales line 961 975 900 and ServiCam.
For this season, the cultural venue is introducing new benefits and discounts within its 'Palau de les Arts: A space for all audiences' program, which aims to bring the world of opera closer to everyone.
Holders of the Youth Card, the International Student Card (ISIC), Large Family, and people who are unemployed or have a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, will be able to enjoy discounts ranging from 35% to 50% on their purchases.
These groups also benefit from a new initiative: 'Les Arts per a tots' days, during which they can purchase tickets for any performance at half price. The first of these special sale days will take place on November 8th, for the performances of Rigoletto .
Furthermore, the Palau de les Arts is maintaining the Last-minute discount for the general public for the new season, which allows a 50% discount on the price of all tickets two hours before the start of the performance.
Benefits for groups
The Valencian arts center is also enhancing its promotional program for the 2012-2013 season for groups of non-profit cultural, academic and social associations and entities, with discounts ranging from 55% to 70% for performances in the Main Hall; and 40% for symphonic concerts in the Auditori.
Verdi, Puccini, Rossini and Mozart
Rigoletto , Giuseppe Verdi's opera, staged by Gilbert Deflo and with musical direction by Omer Meir Wellber, will inaugurate the seventh season of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía on November 10.
The new production of Puccini's La Bohème , conducted by Riccardo Chailly and directed by Davide Livermore; Verdi's I due Foscari , with Plácido Domingo in the title role; Il barbiere di Siviglia , by Rossini, with musical direction by Omer Meir Wellber and stage direction by Damiano Michieletto; and Mozart's Die Zauberflöte , with Ottavio Dantone on the podium and stage direction by Stephen Medcalf, complete the operatic offering of the 2012-2013 season.
The Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana will once again be the star of next season's symphonic program, which opens on December 14 with Riccardo Chailly's performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony . Plácido Domingo, Omer Meir Wellber, Guillermo García Calvo, and Rafael Payare are among the other conductors who will lead the Palau de les Arts' resident orchestra.
Also, as a major new development, Chinese conductor Muhai Tang will make his debut at the Auditori of the Palau de les Arts with the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra on January 18, 2013.
