Valencia. The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía has launched this week its season ticket renewal and sales campaign for the 2013-2014 season with discounts of up to 15%.
For this new year, the Valencian arts center maintains and expands its program of discounts and benefits for its subscribers, in addition to offering a whole series of promotional initiatives for the general public in order to bring its programming and activities closer to all citizens.
The offer comprises eight different subscription series, all of them with a carefully curated selection of shows that make up the eighth season of the Palau de les Arts, which opens with Zubin Mehta's double tribute to Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner on the bicentenary of the birth of both composers.
The maestro from Bombay will conduct Verdi's La Traviata and Wagner's Die Walküre , as well as a symphonic concert featuring excerpts from zarzuela and works by the Strauss family, at the start of the Valencian arts center's eighth season, which once again features Plácido Domingo and Riccardo Chailly. Domingo, who will conduct Puccini's Manon Lescaut , will debut a new baritone role in Valencia in Verdi's Simon Boccanegra .
Meanwhile, Milanese conductor Riccardo Chailly will close the Verdi Year at the Palau de les Arts with his Requiem Mass . The 2013-2014 season also sees the return of Rossini's repertoire with L'italiana in Algeri , conducted by Ottavio Dantone, and includes the first opera composed in Valencian, Maror , by Manuel Palau.
To cater to the preferences and expectations of all audience members, the range of subscription options extends from €203.15 for the most economical option in Section F, which includes three operas and the Zubin Mehta concert, to €845.75 for the Section A subscription in Zone 1, which includes all the season's premieres. All seats included in the subscription program offer the best possible visibility and acoustics.
The deadline for submitting both the personal and contact information update forms and the season ticket cancellation forms is Sunday, September 8. Once this process is complete, on Monday, September 9, changes to seat and time slot can be requested via the form. Between September 13 and 15, season ticket holders have an exclusive priority purchase period with significant discounts to complete their season passes.
Those interested in acquiring new season tickets for the 2013-2014 Season can submit their application until September 12th on the Palau de les Arts website or through the Sales and Customer Service Line 961 975 900.

General ticket sales for the shows that make up the eighth symphonic and lyrical season of the Valencian arts center begin on Monday, September 30, at 6:30 p.m., through the website www.lesarts.com .
From October 1st, tickets can also be purchased at the box office, through the theater's telephone sales line, and via the Instant Ticket sales service at 902 444 300.
