Ramón Tebar conducts this Saturday, November 26, at Les Arts and on Sunday the 27th at the Castelló Auditorium, the lyrical concert 'Noves Veus'.

The artists of the eighth promotion of the Centre Plácido Domingo, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Palau de les Arts, offer arias, duets and concert pieces from great titles of the repertoire under the baton of the main guest conductor of Les Arts.

Maestro Tebar, who is making his first collaboration with the young performers, will return in February for 'La Traviata', his third opera by Giuseppe Verdi in the capital of the Turia after his successes with 'Nabucco' and 'Aida' in previous seasons.

The 'Noves Veus' program includes fragments of operas by Bizet ('Les pêcheurs de perles'), Boito ('Mefistofele'), Delibes ('Lakmé'), Massenet ('Manon' and 'Werther'), Mozart ('Così fan tutte', 'Die Zauberflöte', 'La clemenza di Tito' and 'Le nozze di Figaro') and Puccini ('La Bohème' and 'La rondine').

On June 24, a jury chaired by Plácido Domingo chose the 16 singers who will be officially presented this Saturday and Sunday to the public of the Valencian Community: Jorge Álvarez, Pablo Aranday, Michael Borth, Anna Bychkova, Karen Gardeazabal, Nozomi Kato, Fabián Lara, Alejandro López, Marianna Mappa, Moisés Marín, Rita Marques, Gustavo Adolfo Palomo, Andrea Pellegrini, Giorgia Rotolo, Andrés Sulbarán and Olga Zharikova.

Along with Domingo, those present at that final test included Joan Matabosch, artistic director of the Teatro Real; Umberto Fanni, general director of the Royal Opera House in Muscat (Oman), as well as Davide Livermore in his dual role as artistic director of Les Arts and of this project, and Enedina Lloris, a member of the faculty of the Centre Plácido Domingo.

Les Arts reported that the capacity for 'Noves Veus' in Valencia, at the Martín i Soler theater in the Calatrava building, is full, except for the 5% of seats that the theater, in accordance with the regional law, puts on sale on the same day of the show.
