Valencia (30.1.25). The 'Les Arts a l'IVAM' cycle celebrates in 2025 ten years of dialogue between lyricism and visual arts, the result of the collaboration agreement signed between the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía and the Institut Valencia d'Art Modern (IVAM) to generate actions with which to disseminate and promote cultural activity.

'Les Arts a l'IVAM' is a meeting place between the singers and pianists of the Centre de Perfeccionament de Les Arts and the exhibition proposals of the IVAM: a dialogue between lyricism and visual arts, within which the young artists of the Opera Studio of Les Arts perform arias, songs and duets around the different exhibitions hosted by the museum.

The recitals, which last approximately 45 minutes, are held on weekends and are free of charge, until the venue reaches capacity.

This Saturday, February 1st, at 6:00 pm, soprano Antonella Zanetti and baritone Daniel Gallegos will present the first of the sessions planned for this year, with a program inspired by and created around the exhibition 'Pinazo. Identities'.

'Pinazo. Identities', curated by Vicente Pla Vivas, presents a new interpretation of the work of Ignacio Pinazo, an artist who dedicated a large part of his work to the representation of people, both in their individual, collective and genealogical dimensions, as senders, receivers and interpreters of identities.

Accompanied by Leo Moyano on piano, the young talents of Les Arts offer a repertoire of pieces linked and representative of their own individualities and identity ties, with pages by Falla, Villa-Lobos, Grieg, Wolf, Ponce or Lecuona, among others.

The repertoire and venue for each musical soirée are agreed upon through the collaborative work of the artistic directors of both institutions. Specifically, the renowned soprano María Bayo, advisor to the Centre de Perfeccionament, will lead a round table discussion this coming Friday, February 7th at 6:00 pm at the IVAM itself to analyze the process of creating this 'dialogue between the arts'.

María Bayo, along with baritone Daniel Gallegos, pianist Leo Moyano and Anselmo Alonso, from the artistic department of Les Arts, will explain and discuss the work behind each of these recitals, which allow the IVAM public to give a new approach to their visit to the center to experience from the perspective of lyric and classical music the different plastic creations that the museum houses.
