The Palau de les Arts is launching 50 season tickets for its first 'Lied' cycle for 50 euros for holders of the Carnet Jove from the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ) in its commitment to bringing young people closer to the world of opera.

Under the title 'Les Arts és Lied', the arts center brings together the most outstanding singers on the operatic scene for one of the main new features of the 2019-2020 season.

Tenor Piotr Beczača, mezzo-soprano Violeta Urmana, countertenor Philippe Jaroussky, baritone Simon Keenlyside and soprano Ainhoa Arteta are the stars with whom Les Arts invites you to discover this musical form that combines voice, poetry and piano.

The arts center is launching this exclusive promotion with IVAJ, offering the younger public a full range of seats in the best visibility area of the Main Hall for a price of 10 euros for each recital.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office, by phone at 961 975 900, or online at www.lesarts.com . To purchase the '5 Liedx50 Pass', you will need to show proof of your Carnet Jove card at the Les Arts box office, either when making the purchase in person or when collecting the tickets if you purchased by phone or online.

On October 20th, the renowned tenor Piotr Beczača will inaugurate 'Les Arts és Lied'. Known to the general public for his brilliant operatic career, particularly for his roles in works by Verdi, Puccini, and the French repertoire, Beczača is also distinguished by the elegance and versatility of his recitals.

Accompanied on the piano by Sarah Tysman, the Polish tenor proposes a varied program with 'Lieder' and arias by Leoncavallo, Dvo?ák, Kar?owicz, Rimski-Kórsakov, Rachmaninov, Verdi, De Curtis, Tosti, Bixio, Massenet and Bizet.

'Pre-release ends on the 28th'

Les Arts is also launching another initiative this month to bring opera and zarzuela performances closer to younger audiences, 'Preestrena fins a 28', which reserves the previews of four titles in the season for those under 28 years of age.

Sorozábal's 'La tabernera del puerto' kicks off this series on October 25th, with admission to the Main Hall for ten euros only for those born in 1991 or later. Rossini's 'Il viaggio a Reims' on February 27th, Handel's 'Ariodante' on April 28th, and Gounod's 'Faust' on June 15th complete the program.

Those interested can purchase tickets at the Les Arts box office, by calling 961 975 900, or online at www.lesarts.com . The arts center reminds attendees that proof of age with a national identity card (DNI) will be required both when collecting the ticket and upon entering the event.
