The Cor de la Generalitat Valenciana stars in the second session of 'Matins a les Arts'
23.01.2020
The Palau de les Arts opened the doors of the Main Hall this day, June 26, with a new session of 'Matins a les Arts' starring the Choir of the Generalitat Valenciana at 12:00 p.m.
After the public's success last October, Les Arts proposes another edition of this activity that aims to familiarize all audiences with poetry and its surroundings.
For five euros, Les Arts invites you to discover the Main Hall with the performances of the main artistic acts of the theatre, complemented by an exhibition of costumes from some of the most emblematic opera productions, related to the composers and works that focus on the different 'matinées'.
For the concert of this day, the Cor de la Generalitat proposes an 'a cappella' performance, in which it will take a tour of Valencian musical history from the late 16th century to the 21st century.
From the main stage, the group directed by Francesc Perales will perform a varied program of works by the singers of Gandia, the Duke of Calàbria, a selection of the 'Dances of Corpus Christi', along with pages of composers such as Tomás Luis de Victoria, Ginés Pérez, Matías Navarro, Eduardo López-Chavarri, Oscar Esplà and Matilde Salvador, among others.
Accompanying this, the public will be able to see an exhibition of clothing produced in-house by two operas: 'L'arbore di Diana', by Vicent Martín i Soler, and 'Lucrezia Borgia', by Gaetano Donizetti.
'Matins a les Arts' is part of the 'Les Arts es per a tot' program, which includes educational or family activities, dedicated to all kinds of musical genres, in various countries and theater venues.
The proposals, of a free nature or with a symbolic price, have as their objective the opening to our audiences who have no opportunity to attend a show in the building designed by Santiago Calatrava.
Les Arts will celebrate new editions of 'Matins a les Arts' on February 16, March 8, April 5 and May 24, 2020.
