The Palau de les Arts recovers the figure of the contacontes to explain to the children's public what an opera is and the educational spectacle 'Conta'm una òpera', which begins this Sunday, February 12 at the Aula Magistral.
The plot of 'Conta'm una òpera' transports most closely to the youth of Gaetano Donizetti, who is about to finish one of the most esteemed operas in the repertoire, 'L'elisir d'amore'. Doubtful after the response of the strict Milanese public, the Italian composer decides to explain it to a group of xiquets and xiquetes to gain first-hand knowledge of their reactions and impressions.
Through the dialogue with the most important menus, the show recounts the development of the work, allowing the six most relevant musical and action moments to pass, performed by a group of young singers accompanied at the piano on the stage of the Aula Magistral.
The Valencian actors Paco Iváñez and Daniel González alternate in the role of Felice Romani, librettist of this opera, to dynamically narrate the plot of the title. The pianist José Jaime Hidalgo, who embodies the Donizetti mateix, will be the one who interprets on the piano the musical moments that illustrate the story.
Four young artists sing the main roles of this opera buffa: Vittoriana D'Amicis (Adina) and Oleh Lebedyev (Belcore), both from the Plácido Domingo Perfection Center; Together with the Valencian tenor Jorge Juan Morata (Nemorino) and Alejandro López (Dulcamara), who is also going to train at the Perfection Center in previous promotions.
The show is aimed at Primary students, so the Arts Teaching Program has scheduled three sessions on February 12, 13 and 17 at the Aula Magistral.
The arts center has also reserved two performances open to family audiences on Saturday 15 and 16 of this month, at 12:00, with seats between 7 and 9 euros. Les Arts informs that the seats for the two performances are sold out except for the 5% percent of the capacity which is reserved for the coming day of the performance.
'I tell an opera', claims that the children's audience “is familiar with the meaning of what an opera is, who is the composer and the librettist, in addition to understanding the plot of this universal title”, explains the person in charge of the Educational Program of the Arts and creator of this muntatge, Víctor Gil.
