Les Arts proposes, for a single price of 5 euros, a concert and an exhibition for the daytime

13.02.2020

The Palau de les Arts opens the doors of the Main Hall this day, February 16, with the third session of 'Matins a les Arts', a new proposal that aims to introduce lyrical and symphonic music to all audiences, together with its surroundings.

For 5 euros, Les Arts invites you to discover the Main Hall on Sunday matins with the performances of the theatre's stable groups: the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (OCV), the Choir of the Generalitat and the singers and pianists of the Center de Perfection Plácido Domingo.

The OCV offers this day, at 12.00, the second concert that, after its recent success with the German repertoire and the opera 'Elektra', is dedicated to Richard Strauss and Arnold Schönberg. Two works of chamber music make up the program: 'Suite per a 13 instruments de vent, in B flat major', by Strauss; i 'Nit transfigured', by Schönberg.

Furthermore, as a complement, the Main Hall houses an exhibition of costumes and props from one of the most spectacular pieces in the history of the Valencian theatre, Verdi's 'Aida', which Arts will co-produce at London's Covent Garden and the Oslo Opera.

The Palau de les Arts informs that it will open the doors on the 16th from 11.00 am so that visitors, at the entrance, can contemplate the 'Aida' exhibition. Access to the Main Room will begin at 11.30 am. Les Arts reminds you that tickets are not numbered.

'Matins a les Arts' is part of the 'Les Arts es per a tot' program, which includes educational or family activities, dedicated to all types of musical genres, in different countries and theater venues.

The proposals, of a free nature or with a symbolic price, have as their objective the opening to our audiences who have no opportunity to attend a show at the building designed by Santiago Calatrava.

The next sessions of 'Matins a les Arts' will take place on March 8, April 5 and May 24, 2020.
