The Palau de les Arts will repeat the 'Opera from home' program starting next Tuesday, May 19, with the launch of its new website, through which you will be able to view, freely and free of charge, a total of 14 opera titles.

Les Arts once again puts at the public's disposal some of the most celebrated productions in the history of theatre, after the good support of the first online programme, which will attract more than 37,000 spectators in April.

The initiative has followed the fruit of the collaboration of Unitel GmbH & Co.KG, co-owner of the recordings edited on DVD with the Segell CMajor, together with the television channel Mezzo, which will record for its own broadcast 'Il corsaro', by Verdi.

With a majority audience located in Spain, the series of viewings of 'Opera from home' show a special following in Spanish-speaking countries, in Mexico at the latest, followed by Argentina, Colombia and Peru.

However, the registrations have also aroused the interest of other European countries such as Italy, Germany, the Regne Unit or Holland, and finally, connections have been made from the State Units, Israel, Russia and Japan.

In this way, 'La Bohème', 'The Valkyrie' and 'The Brief Life' have earned a significant name among viewers in Germany and Italy, while 'Yevgeny Onegin', starring the Polish baritone Artur Ruci?ski, will register five dozen views of six 2,355 viewings from the native country of l'interpret.

'The Valkyrie', by Wagner, with 5,009 viewings, and 'La Bohème', by Puccini, with 4,090 spectators, are among the most watched shows of the entire cycle.

Statistics show that the majority of connections have been made through overhead computers, especially in longer operations. The mobile phone, however, has followed the major device for titles such as 'La Bohème' or 'Turandot'.

Starting on May 19, Les Arts will reissue this initiative, which will also present its new website. Every 48 hours, www.lesarts.com will carry each of the fourteen titles that make up the 'Opera from home' program, which, in the same way as the season's titles, will share an explanatory introduction to the work of Ramon Gener.

The Otello muntatge will begin the cycle this afternoon on the 19th, which will be followed by 'La Bohème' (May 21), 'Turandot' (May 23), 'Rhinegold' (May 25), 'The Valkyrie' (May 27), 'Siegfried' (May 29), 'The Twilight of the Gods' (May 31), 'The Brief Life' (June 2), 'Les Troyens' (June 4), 'Yevgeny Onegin' (June 6), 'Fidelio' (June 8), 'Lucrezia Borgia' (June 10), 'Le cinesi' (June 12) and 'Il corsaro' (June 14).

Les Arts reminds that each viewing will be activated from 8:00 p.m. on the announced date, with the exception of the four titles that make up 'The Ring of the Nibelung' and 'Les Troyens', which, due to the duration they have, will begin at 6:00 p.m.
