Valencia (June 7, 2020). The Palau de les Arts will put tickets on sale this Monday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m., for the 'Torna a Les Arts' concert and recital series, with which the cultural center resumes artistic activity after the lockdown period.

Following the concert dedicated to healthcare personnel on Friday, June 12, the Main Hall will host, starting on Saturday the 13th of this month, ten sessions with different proposals by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, the artists of the Centre de Perfeccionament and the Cor de la Generalitat.

The concerts, with tickets priced at a single rate of 5 euros, will last one hour, without a break, and will be held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, until July 11th.

In accordance with health protocols, tickets are assigned to specific seats, and capacity is always limited to current regulations. Les Arts reminds audiences that, as part of its commitment to promoting opera and classical music for young people, Friday performances are reserved exclusively for those under 29 years of age.

Tickets can be purchased through the Les Arts website, as well as by phone at 961 975 900, which will be operational Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The minimum purchase is two adjacent seats. Individual tickets can only be requested through the telephone sales line.

The artistic direction of Les Arts has adapted the various musical offerings and programs to the requirements of the current situation. Both the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, in a chamber ensemble, and the Cor de la Generalitat, with a reduced staff, will maintain social distancing requirements on stage at all times.

The Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana will offer three different programs during this cycle: one for string instruments, with pieces by Mozart, Dvořák, Barber and Tchaikovsky, another dedicated exclusively to the wind section, with works by Donizetti, Gounod and Beethoven and a third proposal for winds and strings with scores by Cimarosa, Mozart and Haydn.

The Cor de la Generalitat, for its part, in its only performance on July 2, will perform works by Victoria, Palestrina, Guerrero, Bach, Elgar, Bruckner, Poulenc and Fauré, among others, with the accompaniment of Francisco Hervás on the piano.

The singers from the Centre de Perfeccionament, accompanied by pianists José Miguel Román and Stanislav Angelov, will perform different programs with arias and romances from opera and zarzuela in their respective sessions.
