Valencia (12.11.20) . The Palau de les Arts is offering a full program of family activities and affordable prices this weekend, as part of its commitment to highlighting the role of culture and artistic activity as elements of cohesion in the current health context.

During Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, within its 'Les Arts és per a tots' section, the cultural center will host proposals with the highest safety standards so that young people and adults can get to know the building and enjoy its artistic excellence.

This was stated by the artistic director of Les Arts, Jesús Iglesias Noriega. “Les Arts’ commitment as a public theater is to offer citizens activities that provide a positive message during these times of crisis and, of course, to carry them out with the strictest health measures so that they know that the motto 'culture is safe' is an undeniable reality.”

On Sunday, November 15, at 12:00 noon, the Main Hall reopens its doors for the second edition of the 'Matins a les Arts' series, an invitation to all those who want to enjoy their first experience in the theater, from its most emblematic hall.

With a single-price ticket of five euros, Les Arts offers the opportunity to discover its program with a concert by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (OCV) and an exhibition of opera costumes in the hall's lobby.

On this occasion, the OCV performs Franz Schubert's 'String Quartet No. 14 'Death and the Maiden', in Gustav Mahler's arrangement for string orchestra, and Joaquín Turina's 'The Bullfighter's Prayer', in its version for string orchestra.

As a complement, Les Arts will exhibit the costumes and props of two productions: Falla's 'La vida breve', which Giancarlo del Monaco premiered in Valencia in 2010, and Britten's 'The Turn of the Screw', which Davide Livermore adapted in 2017.

For its part, the Aula Magistral will host three family performances of 'Feel the Music', an educational proposal aimed at children between the ages of 4 and 10.

The activity is based on the well-known 'Mozart effect' through his work 'Sonata for two pianos in D major, K 448', which is used as a vehicle for sensory development and in the integration process of the youngest children.
Pianists Judit Kertész and Antonio Galera perform the score by the Salzburg genius while Special Education specialist Candela Bauxauli structures the show, so that young spectators can also become familiar with the piano as an instrument of the string family.

The family performances of 'Feel the Music' will take place on Saturday the 14th at 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday in two morning sessions, the first at 10:30 a.m. and the second at 12:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at seven euros.
